2024 Future Science Prize Week

Future Science Prize is a privately funded science prize established in 2016, with three award categories including life science, physical science, and mathematics and computer science, to recognize scientific breakthroughs in the Mainland of China, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan, that have made significant impacts in the world and stood the test of time.

The Future Science Prize Week aims to promote scientific spirit and pay tribute to scientists, leading the public to explore the forefront of world science with a forward-looking perspective. It will invite over 100 outstanding scientists globally to discuss interdisciplinary and academic innovation, building a scientific event with authority, professionalism and international influence.

The 2024 Future Science Prize Week composed a series of world-class scientific events includes a 5-day program from 30 October to 3 November to be held in Hong Kong. The Laureate Academic Lectures will be held separately at the home institutions of the 2024 Future Science Prize laureates.

The Future Science Prize Week is guided by a Steering Committee composed of renowned experts from home and abroad, and a Program Committee that sets the agenda and invites domestic and international speakers to ensure the high level of academic content and extensive global perspective of the conference. This year, Prof. Vivian Wing-Wah YAM, from The University of Hong Kong, and Prof. Douglas Nelson Chao LIN, from the University of California, Santa Cruz serve as co-chairs of the 2024 Program Committee.
